Abstract: The issues of patriotic education are of particular importance at the present stage of development of society and the state. This is primarily due to changes in the socio-economic, political and spiritual spheres of society and the consciousness of its citizens. Patriotic education of children begins with preschool childhood, when moral foundations are laid; children are introduced to the cultural and historical past of the country, a sensitive attitude to the nature of their native land. Software and methodological support allows creating a system of patriotic education of children. This article discusses the methodological basis for the development of a partial program of patriotic education “To preschool children about our Fatherland”. The organizational and pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the partial program are disclosed. This article includes a description of the first stage of the organization of the development and testing of the program.
