Abstract: The article is devoted to the search for a solution to the adaptation of vocational training to modern “contexts” in the context of the dynamics of socio-cultural reality. The study attempts to justify the need to complement professional training in college with an individual educational route focused on a personalized approach to learning. The study was carried out on the basis of a theoretical analysis of pedagogical data, generalization, systematization, and is also confirmed by empirical data: student polls about involvement in non-formal education, cases on the implementation of an individual educational route focused on a personalized approach to learning. The essence and content of the personalized approach are analyzed; the possibilities of using non-formal education within the framework of building an individual educational route are assessed. Variants of using an individual educational route focused on a personalized approach are described. Comparison of the use of IER in the framework of individual and personalized approaches is carried out. These results can become the basis for the introduction into the practice of vocational training in organizations of secondary vocational education of an individual educational route focused on a personalized approach to learning and will contribute to the integration of formal and non-formal education in vocational training for its enrichment, helping a future specialist to be competitive when entering the labor market and being ready for further professional growth.
