Abstract: The article is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding scientist, Tatiana Georgievna Leonova, Doctor of Philology, professor, folklorist, famous researcher in the field of folk culture and folklore-literary relations. Her doctoral dissertation, defended in 1989 at the Gorky Institute of World Literature in two specialties (folklore studies, Russian literature), reflected the results of the development of scientific issues concerning “Russian literary fairy tale of the XIX century in its relation to the folk tale”. The scientific activity of Tatyana Leonova was associated with the implementation of the plans of the Institute of Philology of the SB RAS to publish the academic series “Folklore Memorials of Siberia and the Far East”. T. Leonova is the co-author and compiler of the volume “Russian folk tales of Siberia and the Far East” and the executive editor of several volumes of Russian ritual folklore. T.G. Leonova has published over 200 scientific works, including 4 monographs, 4 collections of Siberia folklore texts and a collection of fairy tales by Siberian writers. By the decision of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, T. G. Leonova was awarded the A. N. Veselovsky Prize for a series of works on the folk culture of Siberia, in 2002. T. G. Leonova was awarded the honorary title “Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation” for the merits in scientific work and significant contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists of the higher school.
