Abstract: The article describes the emergence of a literary school at the Omsk Pedagogical Institute in the second half of the twentieth century. Many factors of this process are considered: the participation of the scientists from the capital city, as well as the role of the leader in this process belonging to M. V. Yakovleva and her scientific works on literary theory and studies of epic prose.
