Abstract: The scientific task of the study is determined by the fact that each subject of the Russian Federation has its own unique features of economic, and social potential, and its own natural factors, therefore there is no single methodology for assessing strategic sustainable development. The system of sustainability indicators for each region, taking into account its specifics, should be based on monitoring dynamic development, taking into account individual growth rates in the short and long term, which reflects the need to form strategic real, relevant scenarios for the development of the region and solutions for the sustainable development of the agricultural industry. The article presents an analysis of the sustainability of the development of municipalities in the Omsk region from the standpoint of economic, social, and environmental factors. The author comes to the conclusion that strategic decisions need to be formed taking into account the increase in the sustainability of the development of a set of tasks of the economic, social, and environmental components, developing a set of solutions in the regional strategic development programs of the Omsk region, taking into account the monitoring data of key development indicators, which are determined by a system of measures that provide food markets high-quality agricultural products for the preservation of life and health, ensuring the balance of ecological systems, the structure of economic relationships.
