Abstract:
The article presents the results of the analysis of challenges and responses to them from the Russian agrarian economy for the sustainable development of the sectors of the national economy and ensuring food independence and technological leadership. Purpose: to assess changes in the processes of development of the agrarian economy; identify trends in the dynamics of production and trade operations in the farms of the Russian Federation; and analyze changes in food availability metrics for the population of Russia and the Omsk region. Methods: a system of regulatory techniques, principles, and methods of synthesis, statistical analysis, data mining, and methods of multivariate comparison. Results. The prospects for the development of the regional agro-industrial complex as part of the transformation and optimization of the economic agricultural ecosystem are argued. Conclusions. The agro-industrial complex was characterized, selfsufficiency in the food market, trends in export map changes, processes of digitalization of agricultural sectors were assessed, promising directions for the transition to a new level of technological development were proposed, and a set of organizational and management decisions was developed to protect the domestic market at the federal and regional levels.
