Abstract:
Over the past ten years, the conditions for regional development have changed very quickly and not for the better. This led to a drop in the economic indicators of development of the regions of Siberia. To assess the scale and explain the dynamics of the decline and growth of indicators, it is necessary to review the main factors, events and signs of adaptation of the regional economies to new conditions. To do this, it is necessary to identify key objects and indicators that most fully reflect the level of economic development and take into account regional specifics. The information base for the study was official statistical data for the period 2014-2022. The objects of assessment were the population, economic entities and the region (subject of the Russian Federation). Ten positive indicators of economic development were selected for the assessment. Analysis of the level and dynamics of changes in indicators is carried out by comparing values with the previous period and with the average Russian level, using interregional comparison. Changing political and economic conditions and changes in statistical data accounting methods are also taken into account. Periods of decline and growth of indicators characteristic of regions have been identified, groups of regions have been identified depending on the level of per capita GRP. A conclusion is made about the predominant influence of external factors, compared to internal ones, on the economic development of regions. The findings and results obtained can be useful to government authorities for determining the directions and methods of socio-economic development of the regions. Further prospects for the study consist in detailing the assessment using the example of a separate region.
