Abstract:
The article examines the process of the digital transformation of the regional economy, examinesing the development of infrastructure, and increasing the level of digital skills of the population. The authors explore the possibility of creating favorable conditions for the introduction of innovative technologies in various regions. A comprehensive analysis of the use of digital technologies in the process of digital transformation of the economy of Russian regions has been carried out. The article assesses the influence of government agencies and businesses on the processes of digitalization, and defines the role of private collectives and research laboratories. Based on the example of a specific study conducted by the Laboratory of Social and Economic Research of the Polar State University commissioned by the Norilsk Development Agency, as well as a website presenting the results of this study, the basic tasks of the region are identified, solved with the help of such studies, priority directions of strategic changes and specific solutions in the region are identified within the framework of eliminating the identified causes of low consumer satisfaction through the use of digital technologies. The authors attempt to assess the current state of implementation of these technologies, identify the main problems and barriers, and assess prospects for digital transformation of the regional economy of Russia, as well as offer specific recommendations for overcoming existing barriers and achieving sustainable economic growth, and develop recommendations for improving the processes of digital transformation
