Timing Selection and Personalized Program Design of Swimming Rehabilitation Training for Lower Limb Injury Recovery

Abstract:
This study examines the application of swimming-based rehabilitation training during the recovery phase of lower limb injuries, with a particular focus on identifying appropriate intervention timing and establishing principles for the development of individualized rehabilitation programs. By integrating biomechanical characteristics, physiological responses, and functional recovery demands associated with lower limb injuries, the study provides a systematic theoretical analysis of the distinctive advantages of swimming rehabilitation training, including reduced joint loading, enhanced neuromuscular coordination, and improved circulatory and metabolic regulation under aquatic conditions. On this basis, the research explores how swimming rehabilitation can be effectively aligned with different stages of injury recovery, emphasizing gradual load progression, movement pattern optimization, and functional adaptability. The study further proposes structured approaches for designing personalized rehabilitation plans that account for injury type, recovery stage, and individual physical capacity, thereby promoting safe and efficient restoration of lower limb function. Through theoretical synthesis and methodological discussion, this work aims to offer a scientific foundation and practical guidance for the clinical application of swimming rehabilitation training, ultimately contributing to improved rehabilitation effectiveness and enhanced quality of life for individuals recovering from lower limb injuries.
