GBP Proceedings Series, 2025, vol. 9, 74-81

Abstract: As China has become a major study destination in Asia, the scale of international students in China continues to expand, and their cross-cultural adaptation issues have emerged as critical factors influencing the "Study in China" brand and the quality of higher education internationalization. Based on interviews with Chinese students in South Korea and the author's personal exchange experience, this study analyzes effective practices in cross-cultural management at Korean universities. Employing Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory, the paper reveals the impact of Sino-Korean cultural differences on the adaptation process of international students. Building on this foundation, it innovatively proposes the use of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence to establish a networked information platform coordinated by government and higher education institutions. Furthermore, the study constructs a comprehensive cross-cultural adaptation model for international students in China, covering the entire cycle of "pre-arrival, in-country, and post-departure" phases, aiming to systematically enhance management effectiveness and service quality.
