In search of hidden treasure: Finding funds for building upgrades
Allison Porter
Corporate Real Estate Journal, 2015, vol. 5, issue 1, 79-87
Abstract:
Lack of capital is the chief obstacle building owners cite to investing in energy efficiency and other smart building upgrades. They are often surprised to learn that many organisations — ranging from local utility companies to charit able foundations — offer money, technical assistance and financing to get projects completed. This paper identifies alternative funding sources for efficiency projects in the USA (and, in some cases, Canada) and explains how to access them.
