Corporate Real Estate Journal, 2016, vol. 5, issue 2, 122-134
Abstract:
This paper considers four major trends in waste minimisation: traditional sustainability programmes, design for waste diversion, zero landfill verification, and managing organic waste more effectively. With practical know-how, case studies, and implications, the paper probes into how these trends are intertwined and impact the sustainable practices of a real estate property. The reader will be equipped with an understanding of possible evolving strategies on how to mitigate and eliminate the waste impact on their real estate portfolios.
