Abstract:
This paper examines the link between the contemporary corporate sustainability practices of real estate companies and green building development, illustrating the various facets with regards to the real estate sector in Singapore. The paper also looks at the close connection between green building rating tools and corporate sustainability objectives, and how green building development helps to achieve a win-win situation for all the stakeholders involved. The impact of green building is shown to go beyond achieving corporate sustainability goals, creating a robust green building ecosystem that supports the entire building supply chain.
