Data centres: Unprecedented opportunity for positive impact
David Horowitz
Corporate Real Estate Journal, 2016, vol. 5, issue 4, 377-388
Abstract:
With annual operations budgets that can exceed US$100m for power and cooling alone (according to 451 Research's Q4 2015 ‘Voice of the enterprise’ report), data centres represent one of a corporate real estate (CRE) executive's biggest opportunities to impact the strategic direction and bottom line of their business. This paper draws from extensive experience as an influential CRE broker who focused solely on data centres for 11 years. Both the seasoned CRE executive and those new to data centres will benefit from the latest trends and detailed best practices on how to identify optimisation opportunities and engage existing data centre stakeholders to yield maximum positive results.
