Improving your workplace — and bottom line — through intelligent (and dynamic) space management

Abstract: Siemens AG is a global technology company that has been operating for more than 165 years. The company is active worldwide, with a special focus in the areas of electrification, automation and digitalisation. Over the past five years, Siemens has renovated and built new work environments based on a smart office concept called New Way of Working (NewWow). The new workspaces have been successful among the 72,000 employees who use them, who now have access to dynamic space in a working culture of collaboration and trust. Looking ahead, intelligent space management is paramount to the continued success of NewWow. By identifying appropriate metrics to monitor use of space, while also accounting for employee needs, Siemens will continue to keep its workspaces productive and cost effective. Siemens uses the latest technology to carefully monitor its dynamic portfolio, while also investing in effective change management strategies to ensure the buildings’ occupants are contributing to its efficiency.
