Abstract:
Data has revolutionised, and continues to revolutionise, all industries. Commercial real estate is no different. While some would argue that the industry is late to the data game, meaningful runway still remains. The data ponds associated with an organisation’s real estate portfolio are some of the most abundant sources of insight and value when data is captured, managed and assessed successfully. An ability to aggregate, store, combine and evaluate multi-sourced and multi-layered datasets is transformative. Such capability when coupled with predictive and prescriptive analytics tools and policies, is an accelerant for corporate efficiency and profitability. Data is the universal enabler of value when harnessed and leveraged effectively. Heightened precision produces powerful insights which drive agile decision-making. This paper discusses how utilising the right data combinations at the right time and in the right way will inform judgment and unlock unprecedented value throughout all levels of a corporation.
