Abstract:
This paper examines the need for a holistic approach to organisational cyber security. It looks to compare and contrast the benefits of a remote cloud-based strategy versus an in-house self-managed solution. The paper identifies the different threats and levels of risk that organisations and their customers face on a daily basis. In addition, the paper addresses several individual elements that need taking into consideration when developing a company-wide cyber security strategy, including education, training and processes, as well as developing a top-down company culture where best practice in security is a shared organisational goal.
