Abstract: As companies grow from start-ups to global enterprises, their information security organisations often need to undergo rapid transformations to meet the needs and scale of each business and its customers. It can be challenging for information security teams to clearly define and communicate those needs and obtain necessary executive support, funding and resources for their programmes. Establishing a transformation framework can help security teams communicate effectively and gain executive support and buy-in for information security objectives, thereby facilitating the prioritisation of objectives based on risks and capabilities, and the measurement of the programme’s ongoing effectiveness on a regular basis.
