Abstract:
This paper assesses current trends for large cargo freighter aeroplanes. After first reviewing the impact on the freighter fleet of forecast growth in the airfreight market, the paper goes on to compare the freighter fleet available. More specifically, it shows how Cargolux Airlines has evaluated the new-generation widebody freighter aircraft available and sets out the reasons why Cargolux has opted for the B747-8F.
