Abstract:
This paper discusses the tools and methodologies used to derive and implement an evolving IT strategy for Newcastle International Airport Limited. The process begins with an analysis of the airport's business strategy and definition of a strategy map before deriving the ways in which technology could be used as a foundation to achieve the airport's business objectives. Key technology projects are discussed and the authors describe the role of these projects in assisting the airport to implement the necessary IT systems and infrastructure to support its regional growth.
