Global air freight in an age of uncertainty
David L. Blond
Journal of Airport Management, 2009, vol. 4, issue 1, 32-48
Abstract:
This paper examines the state of the air-freight market worldwide from the perspective of the larger economy and the ability of the global economy to fully recover from the current recession. Forecasts are developed using econometric models that relate economic factors to international trade flows for specific commodities of special interest to air-freight carriers. Detailed tables showing air-freight demand in key markets as estimated for the current year and for future years are included.
