Journal of Airport Management, 2011, vol. 5, issue 2, 160-169
Abstract:
Incentives and aid are essential for airports to attract new routes. They are systematically requested by airlines. Nevertheless, they are subject to EU rules on state aid and have to comply with strict conditions in order to ensure their legality. The aim of this paper is to provide airport managers, public authorities and airlines with a practical guide on their room for manoeuvre in the implementation of their commercial strategy.
