Abstract:
Taking Budapest Airport as an example, this paper sets out to show how an airport can react in the event of the collapse of its most important airline, in this case, Malév Hungarian Airlines. The paper highlights the role played in such a situation by an active industrial manager and investor as a shareholder. It outlines what measures an airport company and its owners can take in advance and examines what can be done in the event of airline insolvency in order to get the airport concerned moving forward again.
