The European Commission's consultation on its draft EU guidelines on state aid to airports and airlines

Abstract: The European Commission made public on 3rd July, 2013 its draft guidelines on state aid to airports and airlines. They will regulate all financing for the management and the infrastructure of airports, and the commercial incentives granted to airlines. The draft is being submitted to a public consultation until the end of September 2013. The guidelines should come into force on 1st January, 2014. Final decisions in numerous investigations concerning low-cost airlines and the financing of regional airports should be adopted by the European Commission during the same period.
