Airport ownership trends in Europe

Journal of Airport Management, 2015, vol. 10, issue 1, 14-23
Abstract:
Airports have widely varying political and legal frameworks so a comprehensive picture of their ownership pattern is difficult to achieve. There is, however, academic work and other ad hoc data on airport ownership and when examined at a European level clear trends emerge. This paper considers these trends and the reasons behind them in more detail, as well as looking to what the future might hold.
