Abstract:
This paper examines the diverse factors that influence the design and development of commercially sustainable airport facilities for small and medium-sized airports. The focus is on incorporating flexibility into facility design to adapt to changes in these influencing factors, particularly in a privatised airport environment. This discussion reflects the views of an operator of small to medium-sized airports and the changing needs and expectations of passengers.
