Case study: An airport ground transportation management programme and contractor
Karolynn Willman
Journal of Airport Management, 2017, vol. 11, issue 1, 48-57
Abstract:
This case study examines the steps involved in managing curbside and ground transportation operations with a contractor when the duties cannot be managed in house. It walks the reader through a variety of steps including observations and interactions with the contractor. The results of the study indicated the effectiveness of a contractor who is in full support of the airport’s Ground Transportation Programme as an extension of internal staff when limited technologies are available on site.
