Abstract:
The success of a transaction depends on the way in which the post-acquisition integration takes place. This paper discusses relevant factors for the successful acquisition of shares in an airport. Any acquisition requires a knowledge-based approach combined with good preparation, thorough understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead and open communication. As a result, these factors also contribute to the positive integration and development of the airport. The aspects that have to be considered and the mechanisms that have to be in place to ensure a smooth transition are pointed out.
