Abstract:
This paper explores a large-scale cyberattack simulation conducted by Énergir, a major energy provider, to evaluate and enhance its cyber security and business continuity strategies. Involving over 60 participants across various departments, the simulation tested key roles, communication protocols and decision-making under pressure. Guided by experienced consultants, the exercise highlighted critical challenges and revealed actionable insights into building organisational resilience. The findings emphasise the value of simulations as an essential tool for identifying vulnerabilities, refining crisis management frameworks and ensuring a coordinated response to cyber incidents. This paper provides practical recommendations for organisations aiming to strengthen their resilience and operational continuity in the face of escalating cyber threats.
