Results from the DAM Foundation Salary Survey: Who they are, where they work, what they do and how they are paid

Elizabeth Ferguson Keathley

Journal of Digital Media Management, 2013, vol. 2, issue 1, 24-47

Abstract: In 2012, the Digital Asset Management (DAM) Foundation Human Resources and Talent Committee surveyed those who work in DAM, requesting demographic, employment, education and compensation information for the 2011 calendar year. This paper explores the results of the survey, and offers correlation sets for DAM workers by age, employer, functional organisation and educational background. Compensation for the overall profession and each correlation group is discussed. It is the mission of the DAM Foundation Human Resources and Talent Committee to make information available regarding emerging and maturing career paths in DAM and it is hoped this paper provides assistance to those wishing to expand the scholarship and discussion of the profession.
