Rights management for a global magazine business: Strategy, standardisation and simplification

Abstract:
This paper looks at how a global magazine publisher approached rights management of its content for a large-scale digital asset management system. By standardising contracts and simplifying its rights model, Hearst has built a database that automates rights clearances for much of its content.
