Using iterative collaboration to implement a DAM system in the cultural heritage sector
Craig Harkema
Journal of Digital Media Management, 2016, vol. 4, issue 3, 265-273
Abstract:
This paper discusses possibilities for collaboration structured around a single digital asset management system. Using a province-wide digitisation initiative as the primary example, the author examines ways in which these collaborative efforts help fulfil the dual role of becoming a space for both scholarly research and public engagement in a cultural heritage context. The discussion concludes with practical suggestions to consider during the development of such an initiative.
