Abstract:
Preparing and delivering digital video to an ever-growing number of platforms and screens is becoming a daunting task. Asset processing, the number of required formats and the tools required to do the job are rapidly growing in numbers and levels of complexity are constantly on a rise. While many content owners are facing the same problem around the world, the solution is often manual or at best lightly automated. This article describes a method of seamless content ingest, processing and independent platform asset delivery automatically invoked by an analysis of a media grid/playlist; thus presenting a single process for the preparation of content for TV broadcasting and additional screens (OTT/VOD, etc).
