Abstract:
Despite what the vendors promise, ‘out of the box’ digital asset management software is never ready for use. The ultimate benefit one can derive from such software will depend on careful consideration of one’s needs, and the planning of one’s solution. This paper summarises some important points to consider, and provides the guidance necessary to move forward with the purchase and implementation of a digital asset management initiative.
