Abstract:
The rapid growth of the over-the-top (OTT) space, combined with the birth of new players, platforms and devices, has increased the need to simplify workflows for media publishers and their teams. This paper addresses five specific workflows for the upload/ingestion, transcoding and publishing of live streams, on-demand video and audio content, based on consultations with customers of online video platforms (OVPs). While these workflows can be accomplished manually, they can mostly be automated by using an OVP.
