Abstract: Drawing on the experience of the University of Tennessee Libraries, this article provides a framework to aid institutions with their decision making when building or expanding still-image digitisation services. Factors, such as construction, purchasing and deployment are discussed from an equipment-neutral, project management perspective to provide administrators, managers, and technicians with a common language and roadmap to success.
