Abstract:
Many papers and articles can be found that list the obligations the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) imposes on businesses and that focus on the costs and efforts businesses will need to incur in order to become GDPR compliant, in particular when they process personal data for profiling purposes. This paper sets out the principal arguments for how transparency and compliance with the GDPR can lead to added value for businesses.
