Abstract:
This paper introduces enterprise banking as the newest solution for small-business banking. The paper examines the unique challenges of the small-business market, from the ownership of the small business segment, to the limitations of the current small-business product offerings, to the resulting impact of the small-business product gap. The paper takes a close look at the unique characteristics of the small-business customer and discusses the impact of the convergence of small-business behaviours that are at times retail and at others commercial. Finally, the paper identifies several factors that have contributed to the growing success and acceptance of enterprise banking for both business and consumer banking solutions.
