Taking the SEPA journey: From fragmentation to EU-wide payments

Abstract: The 1st of August marked the first step of the implementation of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) in the EU. This paper discusses how SEPA benefits European banks, corporates and consumers and considers what the next steps are.
