Abstract: November 2017 saw the launch of the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst) scheme, created by the European Payments Council to realise easier and faster payments on a pan-European scale. This paper reviews the progress of SCT Inst over the past 22 months and discusses the path ahead.
