Abstract: COVID-19 is a worldwide crisis that has affected various people and places differently, but it has affected everyone – and in the areas that matter to us: our health, communities, jobs, local businesses, global supply chains continuity and global families. Many businesses and individuals have struggled to stay on their feet and keep moving forward. Yet there are also organisations and individuals that have endured, adapted and even thrived throughout the pandemic, Primex being one of them. This paper presents the case study of Primex as an example of how people-centred business and operations can provide psychological resilience on a personal and business level. There is discussion of how Primex reacted to the pandemic, steps that were taken to prioritise employee well-being, as well as pre-established, pre-COVID-19 cultural factors and programmes that created a foundation for resilience and helped to buoy the team through hard times.
