Abstract:
Rapid markets consolidation and changes in the industry, together with a client base that gets more sophisticated, put pressure on custodians to adapt their business and business models. The Nordic regions have challenges that in many cases are similar as seen in other regions, but also that are bigger because of the nature of the business in the Nordic regions. This paper tries to examine the Nordic regions' challenges and as guidance tries to show how Nordea have approached the Nordic issues, but also how Nordea strategically responded to the challenges they faced.
