Using a data warehouse to solve risk, performance, reporting and compliance-related issues

Abstract: This paper discusses how a data warehouse fits into an overall enterprise data management (EDM) strategy. It discusses three common business problems in the financial services industry and how a data warehouse can be used to solve these typical industry issues. Real life case studies are used to illustrate data warehouse usage in solving performance and attribution, risk and customer reporting related business problems.
