Abstract:
The settlement is a critical function in the trade lifecycle. With increased focus on reducing counterparty risk and ensuring trade fails are kept to the minimum, settlement systems have gained importance in the equities back office of investment banks. This in turn makes the choice of settlement system in securities operations very important. Awareness of best features will definitely help in making the right choice of settlement system while setting up operations. This paper looks at some of the key features of a securities settlement system.
