Abstract: Identifiers for financial instruments and entities have grown in importance as tools for regulatory transparency compliance and for the improvement of operational efficiency. At the same time, the landscape of key identifiers that firms need to manage continues to evolve. This paper covers the identifiers of most concern to financial firms, including ongoing developments and changes to these identifiers, which are designed to reflect the evolution of financial markets and the increasing regulatory demands for transparency.
