Journal of Urban Regeneration and Renewal, 2016, vol. 9, issue 2, 111-114
Abstract:
This short paper reviews the late Sir Peter Hall’s update of the book that he wrote with Colin Ward — ‘Sociable cities’ — and compares him with Sir Ebenezer Howard as a utopian visionary, strategic planner, visionary and land economist, and suggests the role that new Garden Cities can play in meeting Britain’s housing needs.
