Reinvent your supply chain through a pre-eligibility screening approach

Scott E. Pruyn

Management in Healthcare: A Peer-Reviewed Journal, 2016, vol. 1, issue 2, 148-156

Abstract: In this era of ongoing financial pressures, traditional healthcare supply chain management methods cannot adequately address the required level of cost containment reductions. A new approach that uses pre-eligibility screening techniques and applies formulary management concepts can significantly help improve end-user knowledge and compliance at the point of requisition, leading to reduced process variability and labour, increased product standardisation and optimised supply expense management.
