Monitoring the operational risk environment effectively

Abstract: This paper explores the current status of operational risk management practice in financial institutions. It begins by describing the features that distinguish operational risk from other types of risk. It then goes on to describe the key elements in today’s market of a forward-looking, proactice, operational risk management framework.
