Abstract:
Ethics, or its lack, has played a key role in the great crisis. Repeated failures, individual or systemic, have been too frequent and recurrent in recent years not to wonderwhether something in the prevailing model of ethics must indeed be changed. Benedetto XVI in the encyclical Caritas in Veritate indicates some conceptual points to think about. The deleterious effects on the real economy of a misused and speculative financial activity require new solutions and the crisi forces us to re-engineer our way with new rules and new forms of engagement
