Abstract: The Specialized investment fund (Sif) has become a very popular alternative investment because it allows founders to create a wide range of funds with different strategies and structures enjoying, at the same time, a wide autonomy in the organization and determination of policies investment. Born and widely-known in Luxembourg, the Sif will not fail to exercise its appeal also on Italian clients, given the tax exemption offered to subscribers, the organization of on-site marketing patterns authorized by Italian supervisory authorities and the possibility to establish in Luxembourg, for purposes of transparency and monitoring, funds already established in off-shore jurisdictions.
